Servier Symphogen is the Antibody Center of Excellence within the Servier Group. We combine computational methods, antibody engineering, and experimental workflows to support the discovery and development of differentiated therapeutic antibodies.
We are looking for a Senior Scientist to join the Computational Antibody Design team within the Antibody Technology department.
This position focuses on predictive modelling, developability assessment, and sequence engineering approaches supporting lead optimization and candidate selection, including multi-specific antibodies and complex antibody formats. You will contribute to the in-silico characterization and optimization of therapeutic antibody candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research in antibody discovery with a focus on in silico characterization and optimization
- Design and implement sequence-based and structure-based predictive models for antibody properties, including affinity, immunogenicity, and developability
- Develop sequence and format engineering approaches supporting lead candidate optimization and hit selection, including multi-objective optimization strategies
- Support therapeutic projects through rigorous data analysis and solution-oriented scientific thinking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate computational findings into therapeutic programs and platform development activities
- Establish and contribute to scientific collaborations with academic and industry partners
- Work closely with experimental scientists, technicians, bioinformaticians, data scientists, and ML engineers across research programs
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Several years of experience in computational drug discovery or related research environments
- Experience with sequence- and structure-based protein engineering approaches
- Experience with advanced machine learning methods, including protein language models and structure prediction
- Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with version control systems
- Ability to communicate scientific findings clearly in a collaborative research environment
- Collaborative, rigorous, and scientifically curious working style
