Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Azure-based microservices using C# .NET and Azure Functions
  • Build and optimize Cosmos DB data models and ensure data quality across applications
  • Develop and maintain WinUI 3 frontends that connect seamlessly to backend services
  • Integrate internal and external systems through Azure API Management and Service Bus
  • Implement secure and scalable solutions that follow best practices in cloud architecture
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and automated deployments in Azure DevOps

As we are a small department, we expect you to take broad responsibility in the development and maintenance of our core applications and integrations.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant educational background within IT or software development
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role
  • Strong programming skills in C# and .NET
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and Service Bus
  • Familiarity with WinUI 3 or similar frontend frameworks (e.g. WPF, MAUI)
  • Understanding of REST APIs, microservice architecture, and cloud security

It is considered an advantage if you also have experience with

  • Azure API Management and CI/CD automation in Azure DevOps
  • Secure authentication (e.g. Entra ID / OAuth2) and role-based access control
  • Cross-functional collaboration in research, data, or laboratory environments
